This week we start with the new Gartner Hype Cycle for Emerging Technologies. If you are working in the IT Industry or are responsible for IT projects you will know Gartner and their hype cycle. The 2018 version was just released and it focuses on 5 key emerging technology trends. One is Democratized AI. Gartner believes that AI will become more widely available due to cloud computing, open source and the “maker” community. Always interesting to see which technologies are on the hype cycle. Interesting side note: Deep neural networks (Deep learning) is at the peak of inflated expectations.
